Seven people were shot, one fatally, in 2 different events in the early morning on Wednesday, Toronto police state.
Officers were called to the scene of the deadly shooting Stilecroft Drive in North York before 5 a.m., authorities said. When they came, the officers discovered that a 50-year-old guy with a gunshot wound to his upper body sitting in a parked automobile.
The victim was taken to a trauma center, where he was pronounced dead a brief time later.
A dark-colored car thought to be involved in the episode was spotted traveling eastbound on Stilecroft Drive toward Keele Street, authorities said.
Investigators believe it was a targeted shooting speaking with various residents in the region.
Homicide researchers have obtained over the analysis and are requesting anyone with information to contact authorities.

Months before, six people were taken at the Small Jamaica neighborhood, authorities said. A car pulled up outside a bakery and occupants fired several rounds at six individuals who were assembled in an alcove to look for refuge from the rain.
Supt. Shaun Narine told reporters in a news conference Wednesday that the shooting occurred just after two a.m at Spence’s Bakery, on Eglinton Avenue West.
Five guys and one girl were shot, ” he explained.
Five of these victims have been released from the hospital, and you will be published later on Wednesday, ” he explained.
Narine said researchers consider this is a”gang-related and concentrated occasion,” but he also emphasized the bakery itself contains no group affiliation. In addition, he said that a number of the men and women that were taken were simply innocent bystanders, and authorities do not yet know the intended target was.
Officers will be on the scene now collecting evidence, he explained. Police had closed off a big region and signs markers were scattered throughout the floor early Wednesday. In a news conference Wednesday afternoon, Mayor John Tory said those accountable exhibited an”absolute disregard for human life”
“This sort of gun violence is totally unacceptable,” he explained.
“Small Jamaica is among the stones of the town, and Spence’s Bakery is a crucial neighborhood association. People in Toronto–St. Paul’severywhere, have to be secure in their houses, companies, and their neighborhood,” she explained.
“My heart goes out to everyone affected by the dreadful shooting which happened on Eglinton West.
