Canada has just announced three big measures to assist people who wish to pursue Canada Student Visa and Work.
Students can now study online while overseas up before April 30, 2021, without a time deducted by the length of the PGWP, as long as they finish 50 percent of the research in Canada.
Students who have signed up for a program that is 8-12 months in length with a start date from May to September 2020 will be able to complete their entire application abroad and still be qualified for a PGWP.
Students who registered in a schedule using a start date between May and September 2020 and research online up to April 30, 2021, and who graduate from more than one qualified program could have the ability to combine the length of their programs of research when they apply for a PGWP, provided that 50 percent of the research is finished in Canada.
The PGWP is highly coveted amongst individuals who would like to study in Canada. After a student completes a qualified program at a Canadian designated learning establishment (e.g., a college or university ), they could receive a PGWP for a maximum duration of three years. The best duration of the PGWP depends on the period of time the individual studied at a Canadian DLI.
The PGWP empowers these former international students to then do the job for any Canadian employer. Former students expecting to become Canadian permanent residents seek to harness the job experience they get to enhance their Canadian immigration chances.
Because of the pandemic and Canada’s recent travel restrictions, many international students are not able to enter Canada right now. It was problematic for any number of factors. 1 such reason is that before the pandemic, distance learning couldn’t count towards PGWP eligibility.
This changed shortly after the pandemic when IRCC made a series of announcements to enable online learning to rely on PGWP eligibility. The final major announcement arrived in May when IRCC stated online learning obtained up before December 31, 2020, could be counted when eventually applying for a PGWP.
So as to qualify for these steps, pupils will need to have filed a study license application before beginning a program of study in the spring/summer/fall 2020 semester or for the January 2021 semester. Pupils have to be eventually qualified for a study permit.
IRCC concluded its news release by stating Canada’s COVID-19 related limitations will be eased dependent on progress made in Canada and abroad in comprising the coronavirus’ spread. IRCC will continue to track the Canadian and global scenario as it investigates additional modifications to make.
